James Evans
James (he/him) is a Neuroscience PhD student at Durham University. Intrigued by the cellular and molecular processes that give rise to memory and consciousness, James is investigating the control of learning and memory in fruit flies. James uses art - whether acrylic, watercolour, or free motion embroidery - as a vehicle for storytelling, transmuting observations on daily life laced with irony. This means most of his pieces are born just before he falls asleep (or in the shower). He draws inspiration from nature, especially from trees.
